Valid from date of purchase. Covers defects in materials and manufacturing against yellowing, bubbling, or cracking.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, misapplication, normal wear and tear, dents from road debris impact, collisions, and/or intentional damage of any kind.
To file a claim, contact the original installer/dealer first. If unable to do so, contact STEK using the website www.stekautomotive.com, or www.stek-usa.com if in the United States.
You must retain a copy of this warranty and proof of purchase identifying the name of the original installer/dealer, purchase price, product (e.g., SHIELD effect), and coverage areas. These documents are needed to process your claim.
Some installers may choose to offer, on their own behalf, different or additional warranties or remedies, beyond the limited warranty and limited remedy offered by STEK. Check your state and local laws before installing film on headlamps, as each state has different policies for aftermarket accessories. STEK does not cover paint protection film installed on headlamps and is not responsible for any resulting damages or fines.
For valid claims, an authorized STEK installer shall remove the defective film and reapply new product(s) to areas determined by STEK to be covered by the warranty.
ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF MERCHANTABILITY, THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION ARISING OUT OF A COURSE OF DEALING OR OF PERFORMANCE, CUSTOM OR USAGE OF TRADE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE APPLICABLE WARRANTY TIME PERIOD.
Note that some state laws do not permit limitations on the length of an implied warranty. In this case, the limitation above may not apply.
Limitations of Liability
Except where prohibited by law, STEK and the installer/dealer of the product(s) shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the product(s) whether direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential, regardless of the legal theory asserted, including warranty, contract, negligence, or strict liability. Note that some states/regions/countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the aforementioned limitation or exclusion may not apply.
Limitations
The warranty and remedies above are available exclusively for the described product(s). STEK installers/dealers cannot modify or extend this limited warranty. STEK shall be solely responsible for determining the validity of all claims and reserves the right to deny claims that do not meet the above criteria. Replacement of the defective film, including labor, is the exclusive remedy. Liability does not extend to any other damages: incidental, consequential, or otherwise.
Material Handling & Storage
The following list is a summary of best practices for working with any top-coated thermal polyurethane (TPU) paint protection film. These are included for your review. STEK strongly recommends that you follow these guidelines to ensure product quality upon delivery and handling, and to reduce wasted time and material.
1. Do not put undue pressure on the surface of the film while it is still on the roll, as pressure marks may form.
2. Handle the carton with care to avoid pressure marks from careless handling.
3. Gloss may fade due to pressure, long-term storage, and high temperatures, which is typical of TPU film. The gloss may be recovered by using a heat gun on the affected area. To protect gloss prior to installation, STEK uses a protective GLOSS-ENHANCING sheet on the surface of the top coat.
4. The product should be stored in an environment with temperatures below 90°F and a relative humidity between 40% and 60%.
5. STEK paint protection film should be used within one year from the date of purchase.
6. Repackaging a roll of film into a box bigger or smaller than the size of the roll can damage the film. Doing so may result in pressure marks, faded gloss, embossing marks, etc. STEK therefore recommends using the original box and packaging for storage.
7. When rewinding or cutting in order to repackage the film, note that surface marks (e.g., small dots, twists, etc.) may appear on the surface due to dirt or dust contamination. If repackaging, ensure that your workspace is clean.
8. After using part of a roll of film, do not repack it loosely. Keep the film as it was originally packaged—rolled tight and held in place by taping. As STEK films have surface protection sheets, note that tunneling may occur if the roll is not rewound tightly or rewound in the reverse direction.
9. Adhesive characteristics may change between seasons if the application environment is not climate-controlled. This is typical of the material. Particularly in cold weather, apply the film only in environments with temperatures higher than 50° F.
10. Generally, water mixed with a neutral detergent or IPA (isopropyl alcohol) may be used as a pre-handling liquid before applying the film. Initial adhesive tack may vary depending on the ratio of IPA to water.
11. Contact the manufacturer if using PPF for non-automotive purposes. Material size, packaging, and adhesive specifications may need to be changed.
12. Note: STEK is not responsible for damage caused by mishandling, improper storage, recutting, repacking, not using a sponge core, or storage for more than one year.
Installation & Care
The following list is a summary of best practices for installing and caring for STEK top-coated thermal polyurethane (TPU) paint protection films. They are included for your own review and for review with your customers. STEK strongly recommends that you follow these guidelines to ensure quality installation.
1. Due to its self-healing abilities, light scratches on STEK top-coated paint protection films (PPFs) may be removed by applying hot water or a heat gun over the affected area(s). Note that if a scratch has penetrated the top coat, it will not self-heal. This is typical of any top-coated PPF.
2. During installation, take care to avoid scratching from installation tools. We recommend using a rubber squeegee for installation (e.g., a yellow or green Turbo squeegee). Even with the use of a rubber squeegee, scratches may occur. Test your tools before installation to determine whether they are safe for use.
3. Installation should take place in a clean area free of airborne dust and other particulates, which could result in surface scratches.
4. Test all waxes or after-market sealants before application to PPFs. Not all products are compatible with PPF top coats. Extremely hydrophobic PPF top coats may interfere with the application of waxes or other coatings.
5. STEK recommends hand-washing cars protected with PPF. While the top coat may have self-healing abilities, using automatic car washes increases the likelihood of surface scratching. Though minor scratches may self-heal, deeper scratches may remain if they have penetrated the top coat.
6. Although STEK PPF is highly resistant to cracking, lift lines, and “chicken-skinning,” applying too much force/stretching may damage the film. While STEK PPF offers sufficient flexibility for installation in tight corners, depressions, and other complex areas, the material does have its limits. In order to determine such limits, which may vary based on individual application methods, we recommend testing the stretchability of the PPF prior to your first installation. Note that a heat gun may be used during stretching to increase flexibility.
7. Maintenance & Care Instructions (PPF & top-coated PPF)
a. Do not wash the vehicle for 48 hours following installation.
b. Avoid directly spraying the edges of the PPF with a pressure washer or nozzle. Doing so may lift the edge of the film. If using a high-pressure washer, keep the nozzle at least 36 inches above the film’s surface.
c. Do not use pigmented waxes, abrasive waxes, or waxes containing naphtha or kerosene.
d. Do not use abrasive pads or harsh chemicals on the film.
e. If desired, wax the car and film at least once every 6 months after testing for compatibility.
f. Remove stains as soon as possible. Use isopropyl alcohol to remove stubborn stains. Avoid cleaning the film in direct sunlight or in high temperatures.
Caution: Dirt, debris, and stains left on the film may discolor the film if not removed immediately. Take care to prevent discoloration, which may be more noticeable on lighter-colored cars. Advise vehicle owners of proper maintenance procedures.
8. To remove the film, pull the film from a corner at an angle less than 90° from the surface of the car. If the film has been installed for a number of years, it may be more difficult to remove. In that case, a steamer, heat gun, or hair dryer may be used to soften the adhesive. After removing the film, adhesive residue may remain on the vehicle body. This residue may be easily removed using the STEK adhesive remover.
Caution: When removing BLACK effect or TINT effect, colored adhesive residue may remain on the vehicle body. This is caused by the structure of the product. In that case, simply use the STEK adhesive remover to remove such residue and any remaining color.
This limited product warranty covers STEK window films.

The product is to be used in compliance with all applicable local laws, statutes, rules, regulations, and ordinances (“Laws”) of the applicable country, state, province, or local jurisdiction including, without limitation, Laws pertaining to window tinting.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH SUCH LAWS VOIDS THE WARRANTY. IT IS THE VEHICLE OWNER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO COMPLY WITH ALL APPLICABLE LAWS. RETAIN THIS WARRANTY CARD, AS IT MUST BE PRESENTED ALONG WITH YOUR ORIGINAL INVOICE TO A PARTICIPATING STEK AUTHORIZED AUTOMOTIVE WINDOW FILM DEALER TO RECEIVE WARRANTY SERVICE.
The availability and services of this warranty may vary according to country, state, or province, depending on Laws pertaining to window tinting. This warranty covers the application of all STEK Automotive window films. The Seller reserves the right to test any films serviced under the warranty.
THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS. YOU MAY ALSO HOLD OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH MAY VARY ACCORDING TO COUNTRY, STATE, OR PROVINCE.
This warranty card, the original invoice/receipt from the installer/dealer, and the dealer’s invoice number are required to process any and all warranty claims.
Claim
If, after installation, any product failures are found under this warranty, contact the original authorized STEK Automotive installer. If the original installer is not available, submit an email request for warranty service to STEK Automotive (info@stekautomotive.com). Include the warranty card and original receipt/proof of purchase. If the specified documents are not submitted, the warranty service is void.
Care and Maintenance
Film Drying Time
The mounting solution used during the installation of STEK Automotive window films may require a drying time. This period may lengthen in cold or non-sunny weather, and shorten in warm weather or with direct sun exposure. You may notice small water beads and a slightly cloudy appearance as the film dries. As the film will dry completely in due course, a slow drying time is not a cause for concern. DO NOT operate your windows until the film is completely dry.
Cleaning Instructions
To maximize the life of the window film, follow these instructions for proper care and maintenance.
1. Always use clean, soft materials to wash and dry window film surfaces.
2. The window film may be cleaned with most conventional washing solutions. Avoid ammonia-based window-cleaning products.
3. A soft cloth (microfiber recommended) or clean synthetic sponge should be used for washing. For subsequent drying, a clean, soft cloth or soft rubber squeegee is recommended.
DO NOT CLEAN THE FILM FOR AT LEAST 30 DAYS FOLLOWING INSTALLATION.

The STEK Automotive Window Film Warranty applies to all STEK Automotive window films that have been professionally installed by an authorized installer. STEK Automotive and the Authorized Automotive Window Film Dealer (collectively referred to as “The Seller” herein) affirm that this warranty applies as long as the submitter of the claim holds ownership of the vehicle in question.
Warranty Period
Warranty coverage begins on the date of installation of the STEK window film product, and extends through the period of ownership by the original registered owner of the vehicle. This warranty terminates upon any sale of the vehicle and is not transferable.
Covered by Warranty
1. Adhesion failure, peeling, bubbling, blistering, delamination, and other manufacturing defects.
2. Unusual changes in color (i.e., purple).
3. Cracking or crazing.
4. Reduction of solar reflectivity properties.
In the event that the product is found to be defective under this warranty, The Seller shall replace the quantity of film that has been proven to be defective. At The Seller’s discretion, The Seller shall also provide the labor of reapplication free of charge during the warranty period. The manufacturer (STEK) DOES NOT cover this labor.
Not Covered by Warranty
The warranty is void if the product has been subjected to abuse or improper care. STEK Automotive is not liable for any losses, damages, or expenses resulting from any one or more of the following:
This limited product warranty covers STEK antimicrobial films.
You must retain a copy of this warranty and proof of purchase identifying the name of the original applicator/reseller, purchase price, product (e.g., Clarivale), and coverage areas. These documents are needed to process your claim.
Some applicators/resellers may choose to offer, on their own behalf, different or additional warranties or remedies, beyond the limited warranty and limited remedy offered by STEK. Check your state and local laws before installing the film. STEK does not cover films installed on headlamps and is not responsible for any resulting damages or fines.

The product is to be used in compliance with all applicable local laws, statutes, rules, regulations, and ordinances (“Laws”) of the applicable country, state, province, or local jurisdiction.
FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH SUCH LAWS VOIDS THE WARRANTY. IT IS THE APPLICATOR’S RESPONSIBILITY TO COMPLY WITH ALL APPLICABLE LAWS. RETAIN THIS WARRANTY CARD, AS IT MUST BE PRESENTED ALONG WITH YOUR ORIGINAL INVOICE TO A PARTICIPATING STEK FILM DEALER TO RECEIVE WARRANTY SERVICE.
Care and Maintenance
Film Drying Time
The mounting solution used during the installation of STEK films may require a drying time. This period may lengthen in cold or non-sunny weather, and shorten in warm weather or with direct sun exposure. You may notice small water beads and a slightly cloudy appearance as the film dries. As the film will dry completely in due course, a slow drying time is not a cause for concern.
Cleaning Instructions
To maximize the life of the film, follow these instructions for proper care and maintenance.
1. Always use clean, soft materials to wash and dry film surfaces.
2. The film may be cleaned with most conventional washing solutions. Avoid ammonia-based window-cleaning products.
3. A soft cloth (microfiber recommended) or clean synthetic sponge should be used for washing. For subsequent drying, a clean, soft cloth or soft rubber squeegee is recommended.
Durability of Antimicrobial Films
The lifespan of our films depends on the frequency and intensity of mechanical stress. For vertical indoor exposure in areas not subject to frequent handling, optimal performance may be expected for up to 5 years. If applied to high-contact areas, such as door handles, repeated abrasion may cause the reduction of durability, which may be signaled by a change of appearance or lifting of the film.
Warranty Period
This 5-year warranty covers defects in materials and manufacturing against bubbling and cracking. Warranty coverage begins on the date of purchase of the STEK film product, and extends through the period of ownership by the original applicator/reseller.

1. Improper product care, maintenance, or cleaning; or
2. Product abuse; or
3. Glass breakage; or
4. Noncompliant film usage; or
5. Any other acts, occurrences, defects, faults, or damages not caused by STEK.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, misapplication, normal wear and tear, dents from road debris impact, collisions, and/or intentional damage of any kind.
